In Memory of Dr. Douglas Bradley
Our Kaiperm CU family is saddened to hear about the loss of Dr. Douglas Bradley, one of our esteemed board members. Dr. Bradley passed away on September 7th in Michigan, and as he was a longtime member of our Kaiperm family, we mourn this loss and honor his memory.
Dr. Bradley served on our board for 50 years, both as a member and as our board chair. He became a Kaiperm member in 1968, and not long after joining our credit union, he began attending board meetings as a volunteer to learn more about financial matters. Two years later, Dr. Bradley became Kaiperm’s board chair – a position he held for 35 years. After retiring from active board work in 2004, he became a voting member again in 2015, and worked to promote financial literacy for board members after the recession in 2007-08, using the knowledge he obtained in his decades-long work as our board chair.
Dr. Bradley was a doctor at Kaiser Walnut Creek for 40 years; after serving 10 active duty years in the U.S. Army, he began work in Internal Medicine in September 1967, and has volunteered his time with the Veteran’s Hospital. He has been a shareholder with Kaiperm for 52 years.
His work and dedication to Kaiser and Kaiperm played a significant role in shaping Kaiperm CU into the credit union it is today, and we are grateful for his knowledge and the time he spent with us. We are saddened by his passing and will miss him dearly, and we send our condolences and deepest sympathy to his wife and family.
