About Raising Financially Mindful Teens
The teen years are the perfect time to build strong money habits that last a lifetime. This session equips young adults and their parents with the knowledge and tools they need to manage money effectively, prepare for upcoming expenses, and start building a solid financial foundation. Participants will learn the basics of budgeting, banking, credit, and even get a first look at investing.
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
• Create a simple spending plan for income from allowance, gifts, or part-time work
• Understand how checking and savings accounts work and how to use them wisely
• Identify common upcoming expenses (cell phones, car insurance, college costs) and plan ahead
• Explain the basics of credit, including how to use it responsibly and avoid debt traps
• Recognize beginner-friendly investing options to start building wealth early
